From J: The Ferry Tap on the High Street in South Queensferry is a very dog friendly pub. I took my westie there and she was very welcome. A great down to earth local pub with fantastic decor. Well worth a look!
Lynne Sweetman: Hey just wanted to let you all know that I was in south Queensferry tonight at a pub called the ferry tap, they are dog friendly and offer fresh water and bowls for dogs. I was told dogs are welcome at any time
The Forth Road Bridge has a pedestrian path on both sides (note part of the path is a cycle path). You can therefore walk your dog (on a lead) across the bridge and take in the views. Parking is available at the bridge administration office (see map/directions below).
Paths are closed in high winds above 50mph. Also check the website (link below) to ensure the paths are not closed due to maintenance work.

From Edinburgh: Follow the A90 northbound. Exit at the Echline Junction. At the roundabout take the third exit onto
Inchcolm Island, Firth of Forth, Fife. The Maid of the Forth Ferry departs from the Hawes Pier, South Queensferry.
Visit the ‘Iona of the East.’ Dogs are welcome on the boat and island but just need to be kept on a lead. There is a large free car park along the seafront in South Queensferry.
