Beautiful location next to the canal, so a great place for a wee walk with the dug and a drink afterwards. Staff and locals extremely friendly and there are usually a few dogs in lying beside the roaring log fire. There are dog bowls available and a big jar of biscuits behind the bar. Nice selection of beers and good food for those with two legs as well. There’s a lovely big beer garden overlooking the canal, but as we only found it recently we haven’t had the weather to try it out yet – sure it will be a summer favourite as well as a winter one!

Great place to take a dog. Not a huge amount of tables in the bar area as most in the restaurant part as it has the nicest views but we got a table no problem. Would also be lovely in the beer garden when the weather is nice. Food was excellent!
