In spite of the “dog friendly” sign outside, we ended up in the conservatory where we couldn’t hear the jazz we had come to hear in the main cafe-bar! And the staff weren’t very nice about it either. Good food but won’t be rushing back with Jake.

    • Thanks for your feedback Jane. Yes dogs are only allowed in the conservatory area now, which is a change the cafe made recently. We will get in touch with the business about your feedback.

      Hi Jane,

For the last 8 months now the conservatory has been the only dog friendly part of the restaurant (we have only been open for 10 so this was implemented pretty fast) In the past if the conservatory was full we would sometimes allow customers with dogs to sit in the main restaurant but this was problematic to say the least (not everyone is a dog person like us) so that was stopped like i said about 8 months ago. My staff are well versed and would simply be stating in as pleasant a manner as possible on a busy Saturday night “no, Dogs aren’t allowed in the main restaurant”

It’s entirely up to yourself whether you rush back or not but I’d really like you to come back now you have a new understanding of my restaurant.

A little note that i will include for other people reading this is the conservatory is massive and can seat 40+ people. We don’t shove people through the back and out of the way if they have a dog. The conservatory is the nicest part of the restaurant.

      Kind Regards

      Michael
