Fife: Crusoe Hotel

We went to the Crusoe Hotel (a la Robinson Crusoe). It’s right on the beach in Lower Largo in Fife about a 40 min journey from Edinburgh by train and taxi. The tide comes literally right up to the windows so at night you feel like you’re on a ship and during days you can walk the length of a long beach alongside big dunes and farmer’s pastures just beyond. Really nice, I highly recommend it. Go mid-week if possible for better deals. Really nice food too.

Lovely spot for a wee break, very nice food and very dog friendly with lovely beaches on the doorstep for walks with the dog
We are going back to the Crusoe Hotel for the 3 time we love it there some of the rooms have harbour views but we always have the same room with sea view, why we love it is because you can walk to lower largo to Ellie along the beach my 3 Cavaliers love it. Good food the dogs are welcome in the bar at night and you can get breakfast in the morning in the bar after a lovely morning walk with your dogs which is great. The Railway Inn is also very dog friendly whilst humans get a alcoholic drink our 4 legged friends get there very own bowl of water and doggy biscuits. I would highly recommend coming up this way as it has some of the prettiest fishing villages, fantastic beaches, very friendly locals and brilliant fish and chips off course.
